Couples Counseling Intensives
Experience months of counseling in just days
Who would benefit from an intensive?
1
Those who are in crisis.
Intensives are particularly effective for those couples at a breaking point and are seeking stability and relief as soon as possible.
2
Those who have stalled in traditional couples counseling.
Intensives are especially helpful when traditional couples therapy feels stalled or key issues remain unresolved.
3
Those who can’t make weekly sessions work.
If life's demands make regular sessions challenging, the intensive format provides dedicated time to concentrate fully and achieve real breakthroughs.
What is an EFT Intensive?
An EFT Intensive is a condensed, immersive format of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, a proven, attachment-based approach developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, an EFT Intensive delivers focused therapy over a few consecutive days (often 2–3), allowing couples to dive deeply into their emotional dynamics without interruptions.
Rooted in attachment science, EFT helps partners identify and transform frustrating patterns of communication, break through impasses, and rebuild secure emotional bonds. In the intensive model, this process accelerates progress by providing extended time to process emotions, resolve conflicts, and practice new ways of connecting, all in a supportive, concentrated environment.
Why EFT Intensives Are Highly Effective
Backed by decades of research, standard EFT shows remarkable results: 70–75% of distressed couples achieve full recovery, and 90% experience significant improvements in relationship satisfaction, with changes that last long-term. The intensive format enhances these outcomes by:
Enabling faster breakthroughs for couples stuck in therapy or facing persistent roadblocks.
Offering uninterrupted focus ideal for busy schedules or those unable to commit to ongoing weekly sessions.
Creating deeper emotional experiences that foster lasting security and intimacy more efficiently than traditional pacing.
Whether you're navigating recurring conflicts, emotional distance, or a relationship crisis, an EFT Intensive provides a powerful pathway to reconnection and renewed hope.
